When building our own vehicle we wanted the ability to support the hood equally to prevent our custom hood from folding in half. These hinges are specifically designed for our beloved 1990-1993 Acura/Honda Integra. A specified gas shock is integrated right into the 6061 Billet aluminum hinge.
Due to the tight tolerances of the Integra platform ultimately the bolt next closest to the hinge on both right and lefts side will have to be removed and will have to be replaced with supplied hardware.
***Nuances
1. The hinges do bolt on with fender hardware replacement
2. The OEM Hinge is also seam sealed and painted over. Removing the OEM HInge will crack and or peel any paint on our around the seam seal. You can precut to prevent peeling
3. Closest fender bolt needs to removed.
4. The hinges open higher than oem. Hood spacers may cause the hood to crash into the windshield.
5. Best installed with 2 people
THESE FIT USDM/JDM/EDM 1990-1993 ACURA/HONDA INTEGRA 2 AND 4 DOOR!!!! Do not attempt to fit these on any other chassis or body.
